National Insurance Institute Resumes Full Branch Operations Across Israel
The National Insurance Institute resumes full branch operations and standard payment schedules across Israel following the conclusion of the Sukkot holiday period.

The National Insurance Institute (Bituach Leumi) will resume regular operations at its branches nationwide on Monday, October 5, 2026, following a closure during the Sukkot holiday and Hol HaMoed. Public reception was suspended from September 25 to October 4.
With services fully restored, insured citizens can once again access in-person assistance at all branches. During the closure period, booking in-person or telephone appointments was unavailable, though digital services via the website remained operational. Call centers also operated on a limited schedule during the holidays and are now returning to full capacity. Pre-scheduled medical committees took place as usual throughout the holiday period.
Ahead of the Sukkot holiday, long-term benefit payments were advanced to September 22. These included allowances for old age, survivors, work injuries, alimony, disability, mobility, nursing care, and prisoners of Zion.
Following the conclusion of the holidays, October payments will return to the regular schedule. Unemployment benefits and income support will be paid on October 12, insurance contributions are due on October 15, and child allowances will be distributed on October 20. Long-term benefits will be issued as scheduled on October 28.
