Bill Gates shared with his millions of followers on Instagram his list of personal recommendations for the past year, revealing the books, audiobook, and series that left the greatest impression on him during the year.

In the non-fiction category, Gates chose "1929" by Andrew Ross Sorkin. According to him, it is the best book he read this year. The book deals with the 1929 Wall Street stock market crash, which led to the Great Depression, and presents the key figures and factors behind one of the greatest economic crises in history.

In the fiction category, Gates recommended the book "Culpability," written by Bruce Holstinger. The plot deals with questions of artificial intelligence, responsibility, and ethics, and centers on a fatal accident involving an autonomous car. The book examines the moral and legal implications of advanced technologies and the responsibility of humans for their development.

In the field of audiobooks, Gates also had a clear recommendation. He said he particularly enjoyed the book "Gray Matters" by Theodore Schwartz, which focuses on brain research from a medical perspective and provides a glimpse into the world of neurosurgery and the science behind the activity of the human brain.
