Billionaire investor Bill Ackman, founder and CEO of Pershing Square Capital Management, believes that artificial intelligence will create a trillion-dollar company in Israel within five to ten years. Speaking in an interview, Ackman emphasized that Israel's small population is actually an advantage in the age of AI, as technology removes workforce constraints and concentrates per capita wealth among fewer citizens.

Ackman's ties to the Israeli economy run deep. In January 2024, Ackman and his wife, Neri Oxman, acquired a 5% stake in the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange to support the local economy. During the ARC Summit hosted by Sheba Medical Center, Ackman discussed Israel's dense concentration of exceptional talent, forged through military service and high-pressure problem-solving.

Expanding his local footprint, Ackman revealed an undisclosed investment in 2Delta, an Israeli startup founded by former Google executive Dvir Salzer alongside AI pioneer Dr. Eli David. The company aims to accelerate and improve artificial intelligence systems across global industries. Ackman also backs Cellargy, an Israeli firm specializing in mitochondrial transplantation technology aimed at neurological and visual restoration.

Driven by a profound personal trial after his eldest daughter Lucy suffered a severe brain injury, Ackman has committed at least $400 million to establish the Ackman Oxman Institute (AOI). The institute focuses on pioneering neurological therapies and streamlining the path from clinical science to patient recovery, utilizing advanced technological frameworks.
