Haii Galis, CEO of BIG Shopping Centers, has been nominated for the prestigious "Personality of the Year" award by the European commercial real estate industry, making him the only Israeli candidate for the honor.
Galis was selected for the inaugural shortlist for the ACROSS Personality of the Year award, alongside leading figures in the European and global commercial real estate and retail sectors. The award will be presented during the MAPIC 2026 events in Cannes, marking a significant international achievement for BIG and recognition of its recent expansion.
The award is newly launched this year by ACROSS magazine to honor individuals with an exceptional impact on the future of commercial real estate, retail, and placemaking. Galis is the sole Israeli representative among a select group of top executives in the international industry, nominated by the ACROSS Advisory Board.
ACROSS highlighted Galis's pivotal role in BIG's expansion into the commercial real estate investment market in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), an activity that has become a cornerstone of the group's international strategy and presence.
