Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett criticized Benjamin Netanyahu in a recent podcast interview, claiming that late Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar preferred Netanyahu in office due to perceived containment policies.

Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett launched a sharp attack against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, claiming that former Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar preferred Netanyahu to remain in office.
In an interview with the Knesset Channel podcast, Bennett stated that Sinwar despised him due to his aggressive military posture. He added that Sinwar viewed him as unpredictable, whereas Netanyahu's policies allowed for containment.
Bennett also criticized Netanyahu's handling of the northern border, pointing to a 2022 incident where Hezbollah erected a tent inside Israeli territory. Bennett asserted that the current leadership projected weakness and severely eroded deterrence.
Previously, Bennett delivered a harsh critique from Hostages Square, labeling the current coalition as a symbol of the October 7 failure. He accused Netanyahu, Aryeh Deri, and Bezalel Smotrich of ignoring military personnel shortages and undermining the Israel Defense Forces.
