A memorial installation titled "Hatisma Koli" (Do You Hear My Voice?) at the Yad Lebanim house in Beit She'an commemorates nine local residents who fell and were murdered since October 7 and during the Swords of Iron war. The project features personal letters written by their parents.

Personal Letters of Remembrance

Initiated by the Beit She'an community center, the exhibition provides a space for families to share their grief and personal memories through letters collected by community worker Ilanit Ovadia.

"Sometimes I imagine you knocking on the door, I open it and you are standing there smiling," writes Iris Ben Sheetrit to her son Elroi, recalling everyday moments and family joys that can no longer be shared.

A Continuing Conversation

The letters reflect an ongoing dialogue between parents and their fallen children, capturing the enduring longing three years after the outbreak of the war. Mothers such as Sara Schwartz and Rachel Mualem describe preserving the memory, values, and heroism of their children through public and private tributes.

The installation is on display at the Yad Lebanim house in Beit She'an.
