Bat Yam Man Arrested for Extorting and Threatening Underage Girls Online
A 20-year-old Bat Yam resident was arrested for allegedly extorting intimate photos and threatening six underage girls online, with an indictment expected soon.
A 20-year-old resident of Bat Yam has been arrested on suspicion of extorting intimate photos from six underage girls aged 13 to 17 over a period of roughly a year and a half. According to police, the suspect frequently posed as a minor on social media.
Investigators state that when the victims refused his demands, the suspect threatened to harm them and their family members. Following a police investigation, a prosecutor's statement was submitted this morning, and an indictment is expected in the coming days.
The case came to light following a report received last June at the Israel Police 105 hotline. The investigation was handled by the Bat Yam police station in the Ayalon region, leading to the suspect's identification and arrest.
Police suspect the offenses occurred between early 2025 and June 2026. In addition to extortion and threats, the suspect is also accused of committing sexual offenses against the minors.
