A well-known social media personality and butcher from Bat Yam, known as "Mohamed the Man", has once again found himself at the center of controversy. On Tuesday, municipal inspection teams, municipal police, and veterinary department inspectors conducted a raid on his business. According to the Bat Yam municipality, approximately 400 kilograms of meat unfit for human consumption were discovered during the inspection, leading to a heated confrontation that required police intervention.

Repeat Inspections and Tensions

This was not the first time inspectors uncovered problematic findings at the butcher shop. About six months ago, regulatory authorities conducted a similar inspection, uncovering quantities of substandard goods. During Tuesday's routine check, inspectors again found items raising serious questions regarding meat quality.

During the visit, a fierce argument broke out. Mohamed shouted at inspectors, asking why they were trying to destroy his business, and threatened to close and even burn down the premises. Police forces were called to the scene to restore public order.

"What are you coming to destroy the business? I don't want to work, I'm closing the business, I'm burning the whole place down," Mohamed shouted during the confrontation.

Social Media Fame and Prior Threats

Mohamed has gained significant online popularity through TikTok videos featuring meat preparation, singing, and active support for IDF soldiers during the Swords of Iron war, including meat donations and dedicated songs.

Last August, Mohamed made headlines after disarming a masked Jewish man who entered his Bat Yam shop armed with a grenade. Mohamed recalled tackling the suspect to the floor before he could pull the pin, preventing a suspected nationalist-motivated attack.

Defense from Fellow Influencers

Following the municipal inspection, another prominent local content creator known as "Eran Kova" arrived at the scene and published a video defending the butcher and reassuring customers.

"I was there just now, this is not spoiled meat, friends, this is meat that he prepares himself," Eran stated in his video, urging the public not to jump to conclusions.
