Barcelona Destroys Real Madrid 7-0 in Women's El Clasico
Barcelona thrashed Real Madrid 7-0 in the women's El Clasico at Camp Nou, with Claudia Pina scoring four goals. The historic win extends Barcelona's dominance to 25 victories in 26 encounters.
Barcelona humiliated Real Madrid once again on Sunday in the women's El Clasico, securing a resounding 7-0 victory at the Camp Nou in front of 40,533 spectators. Claudia Pina was the ultimate star with four goals, while Caroline Graham Hansen, Ewa Pajor, and Sydney Schertenleib completed the rout.
Pina opened the scoring as early as the fourth minute, completed a brace before the half-hour mark, and added another before halftime. Graham Hansen made it 4-0, Pina sealed her quadruplet, and later Pajor and Schertenleib turned the win into a historic thrashing.
The most astonishing statistic is that this is far from a new phenomenon. Prior to Sunday's match, Barcelona had won 24 out of the 25 previous encounters between the sides. Following the 26th Clasico, the record stands at 25 wins for Barcelona and just one for Real Madrid, with an extraordinary goal difference of 99-12 in favor of the Catalans.
