Mass brawl in Rahat: 24 suspects arrested, two police officers injured

Officers of the Southern District Police and fighters of the National Guard of the Border Police (Magav) arrested 24 suspects today, Saturday, in Rahat following a mass brawl between different factions in the city. The suspects were transferred to the local police station for questioning.
During the operation, stones were thrown at the forces, resulting in injuries to two police officers who required medical treatment.
The arrests were conducted as part of ongoing police activity in Rahat aimed at curbing shooting incidents, illegal weapon possession, and criminal instigators to ensure public safety.
According to police statements, the operation focuses on violent conflicts between factions that threaten human life and public order. The goal is to prevent further escalation and hold those responsible for the unrest accountable.
In addition to the Rahat police station forces and the Southern National Guard of the Border Police, fighters from the 'Sa'ar' and 'Yoav' units participated in the operation.
