Ayalon Highways announced that temporary road closures will take place in the Netanya area during the night between Tuesday and Wednesday, September 8, 2026. The closures are part of ongoing installation work for sign bridges under the Fast Lanes project.

The works will be conducted during nighttime hours, from midnight to 5:00 AM, in order to ease traffic flow and minimize disruption for drivers.

During the operations, Highway 2 will be closed to southbound traffic in the section between the Netanya Interchange and the Gesher HaShalom Interchange in Netanya. In addition, the entrance from the Netanya Interchange onto southbound Highway 2 will be blocked.

As part of the temporary traffic arrangements, traffic from the Netanya Interchange will be diverted to Herzl Street and Ben Tzi Boulevard, and from there to the Gesher HaShalom Interchange in Netanya. Meanwhile, access from the Gesher HaShalom Interchange to southbound Highway 2 will remain open as usual.

Ayalon Highways stated that the operations are coordinated with the police and scheduled during off-peak night hours. Public transport routes and bus stop locations will also be adjusted during the construction.
