Avri Gilad takes a break from the screen: 'A new experience'
The veteran journalist is taking a temporary leave from his night show with Yair Sharki due to personal plans. He has been replaced by a colleague who previously filled in for him last month.

Viewers of the current affairs program 'Avri and Sharki' on Keshet 12 were surprised by an announcement during last week's live broadcast. Veteran television host Avri Gilad shared with his co-host, Yair Sharki, and the audience at home that he would be absent from the studio for the next two weeks.
Gilad explained that his planned absence is due to a private trip he recently decided to take, which will keep him away from the newsroom and his daily on-screen duties.
In last night's episode (Saturday), the seat next to Yair Sharki was filled by veteran journalist Jackie Levy. In a story uploaded to his Instagram page, Sharki shared a photo of the two of them with the caption: 'Substitute teacher'.
For Levy, this is not his first time joining Sharki on the night show, as he also filled in for Gilad just last month while the latter was filming another program.
As previously mentioned, Gilad plans to spend two weeks in Thailand, with the primary goal of participating in a professional diving course. According to him, this is a fresh experience, as it marks the first time in his life that he will learn to dive and explore the maritime world.
