Culinary Battles and Past Romances on Reality TV

Israeli media personality and Channel 12 host Avri Gilad has opened up about his past romantic relationship with director and creator Ayalon Nofar, co-founder of the renowned troupe Mayumana. The revelations came to light during a recent episode of the popular reality cooking show "MKR Israel" (HaMitbach HaMenatzeach VIP), broadcast on Channel 12, where the two are competing as a culinary duo.

During the dinner conversation, surrounded by fellow celebrity contestants including Judy Nir Mozes, Itay Turgeman, and Gaya Beer Gordin, Gilad shared a candid detail about his connection with Nofar. "We were once a couple for a fleeting moment," the veteran broadcaster admitted. When questioned about why they decided to end their romantic involvement, Nofar explained that not every romance is suited for a long-term partnership, noting that some relationships naturally evolve into a profound and lasting friendship.

"Friendship is a partnership in its own right," remarked celebrity chef and judge Ruthie Broudo after listening to their personal story.

Behind the Scenes of a Unique Dynamic

Content creator Stav Naftali, another participant on the show, suggested that lingering affection might still exist between the two collaborators. Despite speculation from fellow cast members, both Gilad and Nofar maintain that their brief romance was merely a footnote in their lives, happily replaced by a strong, enduring professional and personal bond forged over decades in the Israeli cultural sphere.
