Avishai Ben-Haim reveals he was attacked: "Why warn now? It already happened"
Panelist of "The Patriots" Avishai Ben-Haim published footage of a physical attack against him during a live broadcast near the President's Residence, criticizing the silence of authorities and the media.

Panelist of "The Patriots" Avishai Ben-Haim published footage this evening (Tuesday) that he says documents the moment he was physically attacked during a live broadcast near the President's Residence while working as a reporter for Channel 13. Alongside the video, he published a sharp post criticizing what he defined as silence on the part of the police, the media, and the public system following the attack.
Here is the video of the physical attack against a journalist, which some were careful not to condemn:
"In the end, it will lead to physical harm to a journalist," they warn. So one must politely point out: why in the end? It has already happened. More than once. Only to a journalist from the wrong side. For example, to me.
Ben-Haim, referring to recent warnings regarding an escalation in violence against journalists, stated that the attack took place during a demonstration near the President's Residence. He claimed that a person identified with the left-wing camp physically attacked him and thwarted the live broadcast. Symbolically, this was also his last appearance on Channel 13.
Ben-Haim added that although he claims the video clearly shows the moment of the attack and the identity of the attacker, the police did not arrest him and did not take action against him. He further claimed that no condemnations were heard from journalists, colleagues, politicians, or media outlets:
"Look for condemnations of this event. There were no condemnations. On the contrary, the atmosphere was almost encouraging of the attacker. We must stop the deterioration. It is time to fix it in all directions."
