Avidan Hospitality Group Files for Stay of Proceedings Over 10M NIS Debt
Avidan Group, operating 11 prominent restaurants and bars in Israel, has filed for a stay of proceedings at the Tel Aviv District Court amid a 10 million shekel deficit, threatening 250 jobs.

Avidan Group, one of Israel's prominent hospitality and nightlife conglomerates, has filed an urgent request with the Tel Aviv District Court for a stay of proceedings to avoid complete collapse. The group faces a staggering cash flow deficit estimated at approximately 10 million shekels.
Founded in 2007 by brothers Raz, Mor, and Idan Avidan as a single small bar, the empire has expanded over nearly two decades to include 11 cafes, restaurants, and cocktail bars across the country. Key establishments include the Concierge and At8 cafe in Tel Aviv, Municipal in Herzliya, Signature and Reception in Givatayim, as well as venues in Kiryat Ono, Hod Hasharon, Kfar Saba, Ness Ziona, and Bnei Dror. These businesses collectively employ about 250 workers.
The severe financial distress stems from a compounding crisis that began with the COVID-19 pandemic, which forced owners to take heavy loans during extended lockdowns. Just as the sector began recovering, the ongoing war drastically altered consumer habits, emptied nightlife venues, and made debt servicing nearly impossible.
Despite the legal complexities, the group emphasizes that all venues remain open and operational. Management stated that the legal procedure aims to protect employees' jobs, ensure business continuity, and secure a higher debt settlement for creditors compared to any alternative liquidation scenario.
