Chairman of the Noam party, MK Avi Maoz, participated today, Friday, in the Rosh Chodesh Elul prayer at the Western Wall plaza along with dozens of his party activists. The event took place while 'provocation women' caused a disturbance at the site.

At the end of the prayer, Maoz stated:

'Unfortunately, in the previous term we did not have enough power to complete the legislation of the Western Wall Law, and it was blocked by MK Rotman under the Prime Minister's instruction.'

According to him, 'With God's help, in the next term we will have more power, and we will be able to pass the Western Wall Law already at the beginning of the term and put an end to the disgrace and the desecration of the holiness of the place.'

The Western Wall Law promoted by Maoz has already passed a preliminary reading. According to the party's statement, the law seeks to regulate the authority of the Chief Rabbinate as the sole body authorized to determine the rules of conduct and prayer at the Western Wall plaza, with the aim of preventing provocations and maintaining the holiness of the site.
