With a grenade and weaponry: Suspect in stabbing in Kiryat Bialik arrested after covert ambush

Following a targeted ambush by detectives from the Zevulun station of the Asher district, a suspect in a stabbing incident in Kiryat Bialik was arrested. A search of his belongings revealed weaponry and a stun grenade.
The investigation was launched following an incident last night in which a 25-year-old local resident was moderately wounded and evacuated for medical treatment. As part of the station's investigative and intelligence activities, Zevulun detectives located one of the suspects in Kiryat Motzkin. They set up a covert ambush at the location, then performed a rapid closure and arrested him.
During the search, police officers found various weapons, including a stun grenade, which was neutralized by a police sapper, knives, a black protective vest, two spearguns, and additional evidence linking him and others to the incident.
The suspect, a 22-year-old resident of Kiryat Haim, was arrested for questioning at the Zevulun station and subsequently incarcerated. The court granted the police's request and extended his remand until August 24.
