A severe and shocking violent incident occurred today, Thursday, in the Sharon region, when a 65-year-old man was critically wounded after being struck by a fishing harpoon. Rescue and police forces were summoned to the scene following reports of a severely injured person in an apartment in the moshav of Neve Yamin, near Kfar Saba. Medical teams provided the victim with initial life-saving treatment and evacuated him urgently to Meir Hospital, where he is suffering from severe penetrating injuries. His condition is currently defined as serious and unstable.

United Hatzalah paramedics Shalom Baruch Zohar and Adi Dinar, who were among the first to arrive, reported that neighbors stated the injury was the result of a serious domestic violence incident. After receiving necessary initial medical assistance in the field, the victim was quickly transported for further care.

Simultaneously, police forces from the Kfar Saba station arrived at the scene to investigate the circumstances of the case. The police spokesperson stated that an intensive investigation has been opened, and extensive searches are currently underway to locate the suspect who fled the scene immediately after the attack. Authorities emphasize that all lines of investigation are being examined as they work to apprehend the attacker as soon as possible.
