British police reported this Wednesday afternoon that four people were wounded in a stabbing incident in the popular entertainment and shopping area of Covent Garden in central London and were evacuated to hospitals. A 47-year-old woman suspected of the attack has been arrested, and the background to the incident remains unknown.
According to the police, officers were called to the scene on Endell Street at 12:27 local time (14:27 Israel time), where they found four men, aged 34, 39, 42, and 52, suffering from stab wounds. All were evacuated to trauma centers.
Shortly after the initial reports, a police official stated that the assessment is that the incident stemmed from the attacker's mental health condition, though no further details were provided.
