Police detained a 17-year-old resident of Ashdod following a widely circulated social media video showing him driving recklessly with a person lying on the roof of his car. The teenager faces serious charges including endangering human life on a transport route, unauthorized use of flashing lights, and multiple traffic violations.
Officers from the Ashdod traffic department tracked down the driver after reviewing the disturbing footage, which also captured him weaving across lanes, activating unauthorized blue flashing lights near a police vehicle, and filming himself during the dangerous stunt. Police seized the vehicle as evidence and intend to request its forfeiture.
Authorities stated they view reckless and dangerous road behavior with utmost severity as it directly threatens human lives, promising to pursue lawbreakers aggressively to ensure public safety.
