Caught driving for the sixth time without a license - and fled from police
Police officers from the Be'er Sheva station arrested a suspect who was driving without a driver's license for the sixth time and while under a driving ban for the fifth time. The suspect fled contrary to police instructions. A severe indictment and a request for detention until the end of proceedings were filed against the driver.
During enforcement activity, police officers from the Be'er Sheva station noticed a driver holding a mobile phone while driving. A check revealed that he was a resident of Tel Sheva who was driving without a driver's license for the sixth time and while under a driving ban for the fifth time.
After being asked to wait at the scene for further inspection, and contrary to the officers' instructions, the suspect left the scene, got into another vehicle, and fled.
Following the incident, an investigation was opened, at the end of which the suspect was arrested. Over the weekend, an indictment was filed against the suspect, along with a request for his detention until the end of proceedings. Among the offenses attributed to the suspect: driving without a license, driving while under a ban for the fifth time, failure to comply with police instructions, and using a mobile phone while driving.
Another case of driving without a license occurred in Be'er Sheva last month, when police officers identified a vehicle that aroused their suspicion and asked the driver to stop for a routine check. The driver did not comply and began to flee the scene, and at the end of a pursuit, the officers discovered that it was a 14-year-old boy.
During the check they performed, they discovered the driver's age, who naturally had never obtained a driver's license, and with him were two other minors. They claimed to the officers that they had ordered the ride via the "Gett" app. The driver was arrested for questioning and transferred for further handling at the Be'er Sheva station, and the vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
