Arrested in northern Tel Aviv on suspicion of drug trafficking: what was hidden in the vehicle

A resident of Petah Tikva was arrested last night (Thursday) in northern Tel Aviv on suspicion of drug trafficking. A search of his vehicle uncovered about 90 distribution bags containing material suspected to be cannabis in various forms, including cookies suspected of containing drugs. The total weight of the seized materials exceeded one kilogram, and 4,050 shekels in cash were also found in the vehicle.

The incident occurred in the North Tel Aviv neighborhood. During the night, police officers noticed a vehicle that aroused their suspicion. Upon approaching, they observed what appeared to be a drug transaction between two individuals, both of whom were detained for inspection. The primary suspect was arrested and transferred for questioning. He is expected to be brought to the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court today for a hearing.

Just last month, police detectives uncovered an improvised distribution facility in a residential apartment in Petah Tikva, which was allegedly used to package and distribute cannabis in bags designed to look like candy. Approximately 12 kg of suspected drugs were seized at that scene, and a couple in their 20s were arrested.
