A man in his 50s was shot and killed Wednesday morning in the Lower Galilee town of Arraba, amid a continuing wave of violent crime affecting the Arab community. Police launched an investigation and a search for suspects, stating the background to the incident is criminal.

Emergency responders from MDA arrived at the scene following a report received at 05:49. Senior paramedic Mustafa Khatib noted that the victim was found unconscious, without a pulse or breathing. Advanced resuscitation efforts were initiated on-site before he was transported to Poriya Hospital, where medical staff ultimately pronounced him dead.

This incident follows another fatal shooting on Tuesday in Tayibe, where a 25-year-old man was killed while at work, allegedly due to a local dispute. Paramedics treated him and another injured individual before evacuating them to Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba, where the young man succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile, ahead of recent electoral events, Arab citizens across the country received automated phone calls featuring a recording from the "Omdim Beyachad" (Standing Together) movement's voter turnout campaign. The audio featured Sawsan Sultan, whose sister Suzan Bishara was murdered, urging voters to cast their ballots in her late sister's memory.
