How much time should you arrive before your flight?

The official guideline is to arrive three hours before your flight, whether departing from Terminal 1 or Terminal 3. For extra peace of mind, you can arrive up to three and a half hours early. For flights to Eilat from Terminal 1, or departures from Ramon and Haifa airports, arriving an hour and a half to two hours before is sufficient.

How to shorten your wait time?

If you want to avoid standing in long lines, consider these tips:

1. W Passage: If you checked in online and are traveling with carry-on luggage only, you can skip the registration counters. Use the fast passage W in Terminal 3 or C in Terminal 1. Tip: board the plane early to ensure there is space for your trolley in the overhead bins.

2. Self-Check-in Kiosks: After checking in online, you can use the kiosks at Terminal G WEST to print your luggage tags independently and then drop your bags at the dedicated Drop Off counters.

3. Priority Queues: Business and first-class passengers have access to special security lanes in Terminal 3, floor G (near gate 1), and before the Duty Free area.

4. Family Check-in: One representative can check in for the entire family (applies to Israeli airlines only).

5. Special Assistance: Pregnant women, the elderly, and passengers with disabilities should look for security staff in the departure hall for assistance in moving through the queues.

6. VIP Services: For those willing to pay, several companies offer VIP services, ranging from fast-track ground assistance to the exclusive Fattal terminal experience with private transport to the aircraft.
