Arizona Intruder Attacks Mother Until Husband Dressed as Shrek Intervenes
An Arizona mother attacked by an intruder was dramatically rescued when her husband returned home dressed as Shrek. The suspect was arrested and faces severe charges.

A family Halloween preparation turned into a nightmare for an Arizona woman when an intruder broke into her home and attacked her in front of her children. The dramatic incident concluded unexpectedly when the husband returned home dressed as Shrek.
The Intrusion and Struggle
Bella Torres, a resident of Buckeye, Arizona, was preparing for a Halloween event with her children when the attack occurred. Her husband had stepped out briefly to visit a nearby store while wearing his Shrek costume. Shortly after he left, Torres heard the front door chime, assuming her husband had returned. Instead, she encountered a stranger inside her residence.
According to Torres, the man asked to use the restroom before suddenly grabbing her by the neck and attacking her. A violent struggle ensued through the kitchen and bathroom, during which the suspect also harmed her toddler daughter. Torres managed to fight her way outside into the driveway, where security cameras captured her pushing the assailant away and demanding answers.
I thought we were not going to survive this terrifying ordeal in our own home, said Torres during her account of the attack.
The Shrek Rescue and Arrest
The unexpected turning point arrived when Torres's husband pulled into the driveway dressed as the famous animated ogre. Upon seeing the chaos, he immediately rushed to his wife's defense, causing the suspect to flee the scene. The husband pursued the fleeing intruder while surveillance footage was shared online and handed over to local law enforcement.
Police quickly identified and arrested 20-year-old Adrian Ayala after a relative recognized him from the viral video. During the court hearing, the defense attorney claimed the incident was a misunderstanding involving a pre-arranged role-play invitation from the husband. Torres firmly denied these allegations, confirming neither she nor her husband knew the suspect. Ayala now faces severe charges, including burglary and sexual assault, as the investigation continues.
