After more than a decade: the moving performance of the legendary Israeli band

Danny Dotan launched his debut book this past Tuesday, named after the Ha-Click hit, "Don't Light a Candle for Me," edited by Yael Katz Ben-Shalom. At the end of the event, Dotan took to the stage to perform Ha-Click songs for the first time since Eli Abramov passed away nearly 11 years ago. He was accompanied on keyboards by Yasmin Even, who performed with Ha-Click during the band's final tours.

The band Ha-Click was founded in 1980 by two Jerusalemites, Dotan and Eli Abramov. It combined new wave, post-punk, and rock. They released three studio albums. The first two became milestones in Israeli rock: "Mom, I Don't Want to Wean" from 1981 with "Incubator" and "Golem," and "Crowded World" from 1983 with "Don't Light a Candle for Me" and "The Whole Truth." In 2014, they recorded their farewell album in the United States, "I'm Not in the Soundtrack."

In 2015, Abramov passed away after battling a serious illness. Previously, drummer Jean-Jacques Goldberg and keyboardist Rona Vered, who were partners in the band's journey, had also passed away.
