After the break: Israir resumes direct flights to Morocco

After a long hiatus, direct flights to Morocco are gradually returning to Israel's aviation map. Following Arkia's recent announcement, Israir is also resuming direct service to Marrakech. Flights will restart in early September, just in time for the holiday season, expanding travel options to one of the most sought-after destinations of recent years.

According to the company, the route to Marrakech will reopen on September 1, 2026, and will operate through the end of October. At this stage, the service will run on a weekly basis, with departures from Israel every Tuesday afternoon and return flights from Marrakech taking off that same night.

This route resumption is part of a broader expansion by Israeli airlines, which are increasing flight capacity ahead of the holidays as the aviation market continues to recover and foreign carriers return to Israel.

Marrakech remains a premier destination in North Africa, drawing travelers with its vibrant souks, historical landmarks, unique architecture, and culinary scene. The return of direct flights is expected to make travel much more convenient for Israelis, eliminating the need for connections.

How much will it cost?

Ticket prices will start at $299 one way, depending on booking dates and availability. It is important to note that entry into Morocco requires an advance visa, so passengers are advised to ensure all necessary permits are in order before purchasing tickets.
