After finding Mali and Liel, the Kasau family attacks the police: "What have they done for our Haimnot?"

The family of Haimnot Kasau demanded this evening (Saturday) to transfer the investigation of her disappearance to the Shin Bet, following the finding of Mali and Liel Yahalomi and the police's progress in their case. According to the family, the police's success in that case highlights the gap in how the investigation is being conducted regarding Haimnot, who has been missing for 902 days.

Benchi and Tesfaye Kasau, Haimnot's parents, welcomed the finding of the mother and daughter:

"With the end of the Sabbath, we received the happy news about the finding, safe and sound, of Mali and Liel Yahalomi. Once again a happy ending — only it is not our happy ending."

"Our Haimnot has not been with us for 902 days. 902 days have passed since our little daughter was kidnapped, the parents added. Haimnot was 9 years old, she did not choose to disappear, she did not choose not to return home, and despite this, not everything possible was done to find her."

"Transfer the case to the Shin Bet"

The parents sharply criticized the police's conduct and claimed that the capabilities used in the investigation of Mali and Liel Yahalomi were not used to the same extent in the investigation of their daughter:

"The Israel Police, under the direction of Commissioner Dani Levy, used all its capabilities to find Mali and Liel, but what have they done for our Haimnot? Lahav 433 investigated half the world to find them, and we are not even met with or updated properly."

Following this, the family reiterated its demand to transfer the investigation to the Shin Bet. According to them, after the police failed to "find a lead in the investigation," the case should be transferred to another investigative body. At the end of their statement, the parents appealed to the public and asked to continue helping them in the struggle to return their daughter: "Thank you very much and please — be with us, help us raise a cry, because unfortunately, we are not being listened to."

Haimnot Kasau disappeared when she was 9 years old, and her family has continued to act to find her ever since. Now, against the backdrop of the finding of Mali and Liel Yahalomi, her parents are asking to increase the pressure on the authorities and change the body leading the investigation.
