After 42 days: Tomer and Laiki from "Married at First Sight" dropped a bombshell
After a month and a half journey in which the couples went through real upheavals that for one moment made them want to throw everything away and for another to cherish it forever, tonight the couples faced the fateful decision. So what did they decide?
In the dramatic decision episode of "Married at First Sight" that aired tonight (Sunday) on Keshet 12, all the couples were forced to make a life-changing choice: whether to end the process or continue the relationship they were matched with beyond the cameras.
At the end of 42 days of upheavals and ups and downs, the first couple to decide to continue their journey into real life are Laiki and Tomer, undoubtedly one of the most interesting pairs of the current season. Their relationship provided an exclusive glimpse into their daily lives and gave viewers moments that were less discussed in the program, such as intimacy between partners.
"We had many difficult moments, challenges, moments of doubt and moments when we even considered stopping the process," said Laiki. "What I love and appreciate most about you and our relationship is the feeling I have with you. That I can just be me, be relaxed and calm. That is one of the big reasons I want to give this a chance in real life."
Later in the emotional conversation in front of the experts, Tomer read Laiki a letter he had written:
"I really love who I am with you. When I started the process, I talked a lot about how a relationship for me is giving up a freedom that I love; now I understand that you are my freedom. You allow me to be free with who I am."
"We had a happy and difficult period," he added. "We didn't get the 'happily ever after' we hoped for, but I want us to look for it and do it simply and honestly, without a seatbelt and fear of heartbreak. On our own. I am reaching out my hand to you and asking you to continue with me on the journey."
In the episodes airing this coming Tuesday and Saturday night, the decisions of the other couples will be revealed: Neta and Evyatar, Noy and Evyatar, Noa and Ariel, and Asaf and Niv.
