After 20 years: Ido Rosenblum says goodbye – Assi Israelof to replace him
One of the most recognizable and beloved game shows in Israel is moving to Reshet 13, with a significant change in the hosting position: Assi Israelof will replace Ido Rosenblum. The show, which first aired in Israel in 2007, will return in a new version produced by Endemol Shine Israel.

After almost 20 years, "Cash Cab" is undergoing a significant change: the well-known game show, which has been broadcast over the years on Keshet, is coming to Reshet 13 with a new host. Actor and comedian Assi Israelof will lead the new version of the program.
"Cash Cab" is the Israeli version of the British format "Cash Cab," in which the host picks up random passengers, drives them to their destination, and simultaneously asks them trivia questions. For correct answers, passengers accumulate money, and along the way, they can use a "phone a friend" or ask a passerby.
The program first aired in Israel in May 2007 as part of Keshet's broadcasts on Channel 2, and from 2018 it was broadcast on Keshet 12. On July 13, 2010, the Israeli version won the Television Academy Award in the category of Best Entertainment-Documentary Program.
Now, after Keshet decided not to renew the contract for the production of the program, the format is moving to Reshet 13. Israelof is expected to soon head out with the new taxi onto the roads of Israel, where he will meet passengers who will try to answer the questions correctly and win money. The new production will be the responsibility of Endemol Shine Israel.
The move also marks the end of Ido Rosenblum's tenure as the show's host. Rosenblum led "Cash Cab" throughout its years of broadcast, since its debut in Israel in 2007.
The format is based on a combination of a taxi ride and a trivia game. In the original game, passengers accumulate a sum of money based on the number of questions they answered correctly, and at the end of the ride, they can choose whether to take the amount they accumulated or risk it on a "double or nothing" question.
The program returned for a new season on January 8, 2024, following the Iron Swords War. Now it is expected to return to the screen in a new version, this time on Reshet 13 and with Assi Israelof as the host.
