Maayan Parti has been appointed as the spokesperson for the Histadrut, following her announcement that she is leaving Channel 12 News after 12 years.

Parti is expected to begin her new role on September 1st, replacing Yaniv Levi, who served as the head of the Histadrut's public relations department and requested to step down.

As recalled, Channel 12 News reporter Maayan Parti announced last week that she is leaving the news company and her position as a consumer affairs reporter:

"It is strange for me to write this sentence, mainly because for me it was never just a workplace. It will always be one of the most important places where the person I am today was shaped.

This is the place where I grew up professionally, personally, and in many other respects. I met amazing people. People who became friends, colleagues, partners, and one who even became the father of my children. It is a place where, for about a third of my life, I laughed, got upset, got angry, and loved, and was moved to the depths of my soul. It is, above all, a place for which there are not enough words to contain its meaning for me."

Levi told "HaYom": "I requested to end my tenure after I built the public relations department with my own two hands, and I am glad and happy. I will give Maayan Parti all the assistance in the world so that she succeeds. The place is very dear to me and the team is amazing."
