Union Saint-Gilloise opened their season with an away match against Westerlo, where Anan Khalaili was absent from the squad, reportedly due to feeling unwell. However, behind the scenes, the situation appears different: the Israeli winger is on his way out of the club and has already agreed to personal terms with a Premier League team.

It is worth noting that several English top-flight clubs have previously shown interest in Khalaili, including Nottingham Forest, Newcastle, Ipswich, and Crystal Palace.

"David Hubert stated before the match that Khalaili was not one hundred percent fit," reports from Belgium indicate. "This provided a professional explanation for his absence, but the timing is particularly striking, as it coincides with intense speculation regarding a potential move to another club."

For the player, this marks a dramatic turn of events following his failed transfer to Inter. As recalled, after agreeing to terms with the Italian champions, Khalaili failed his medical examinations, which effectively ruled out any possibility of signing with another Serie A side.
