Amit Segal and Yinon Magal in the crosshairs: "I try to avoid suing journalists"

Moshe Radman, one of the leaders of the protest against the judicial reform and the right-wing government, recently made headlines following his joining of the "Democrats" party led by Yair Golan. Radman was placed in the 9th spot ahead of the elections for the twenty-sixth Knesset.

The high-tech entrepreneur and social activist, who frequently expresses his political views on social media, announced on Saturday that he had sent pre-lawsuit warning letters to media figures Amit Segal, Yinon Magal, Shimon Riklin, and Iki Adamker.

In a tweet published on his X account, Moshe Radman wrote:

"In the last few hours, I have sent four warning letters to Amit Segal, Yinon Magal, Shimon Riklin, and Iki Adamker. I try to avoid suing media figures and journalists and am a great believer in freedom of speech, but freedom of speech is not the freedom of incitement, lies, and slander.

I have never accused anyone or expressed sorrow over the death of a terrorist; it is still unknown who shot at whom and under what circumstances, and certainly at the time I wrote the things, it was impossible to know who murdered and who was murdered and why. Everything I wrote, and I stand behind it 200%, is that one must not automatically accept any narrative and one must condemn violence of any kind and fight Palestinian and Jewish terror with a heavy hand. The regime's mouthpieces have become accustomed to framing reality on their own, determining what is allowed to be said and what is not, when it is allowed to ask questions and when not. That is over."

Radman published a post on Facebook on 24.07.26 dealing with an incident that occurred in the West Bank. On Friday, a shooting attack occurred near the Gilad Farm in Samaria, in which a member of the settlement's rapid response team, Binyamin Malet, may God avenge his blood, was murdered. Two other Israelis were wounded in the attack, one of them in critical condition and the other in serious condition. At the same time, the IDF began reinforcing forces in the area.

In the shadow of the security incident recorded in Judea and Samaria, Radman expressed his position:

"It is amazing how the media is now framing the incident in the West Bank according to the settlers' narrative and is surrendering within a moment. But since I do not yet know all the details for certain, I am putting the war of narratives aside for a moment and want to talk about the data as they appear at the moment. First, condolences to the families for the loss as a result of unnecessary violence."

Radman wrote, among other things, that there was a "group of Israelis that arrived to 'hike' very close to the village of Tel." Radman further claimed that "we have no operational logic and no apparent reason to establish settlements (like Gilad Farm) in this space which is entirely Arab settlements and villages, and certainly not to go out there for 'hikes'." At the same time, the "Democrats" party member emphasized that he does not yet know "who attacked whom first" and that he is sure the picture will become clearer later.

In the letters transferred to Riklin, Segal, Magal, and Adamker, Moshe Radman's lawyers clarified that in the post he published, he explicitly emphasized that he does not yet know all the details for certain and that he is not in a position to determine who attacked whom first. Alongside this, Radman referred to his political and security outlook regarding settlement policy, the allocation of IDF forces, and the escalation in the West Bank. "Our client consistently and firmly opposes violence of any kind and from any side," it was noted in the letters sent to the journalists.
