Three years after the October 7 attacks, the memory of Amit Mann, a paramedic murdered while treating the wounded at the Be'eri kibbutz clinic, continues to inspire through her family's efforts. Her sister, Haviva Mann-Itzizon, shared emotional reflections in a recent interview about Amit's enduring legacy of courage and compassion.

Remembering Amit Mann's Heroism

Amit Mann treated numerous people who managed to reach the clinic under heavy fire during the Hamas assault. Her sister Haviva described her as a lifelong source of light whose spirit has only intensified over time.

Amit always said that you must look at the whole person and not just the wound, that was truly her motto. To spread smiles and do good, to fulfill dreams and live life to the fullest with everything it has to offer.

Spreading Light Through Education and Lectures

In the years following her tragic death, Amit's family has dedicated themselves to keeping her memory alive. Three of her sisters regularly deliver lectures sharing her life story, transforming personal grief into a powerful message of resilience, community action, and hope.

Memorial projects have also emerged across the country, including a specialized high school in Pardes Hanna established to honor her commitment to helping others. Despite the ongoing pain and longing, her family remains steadfast in ensuring that her values of kindness and dedication continue to influence new generations.
