Health Alert: Popular Beverage Brands May Pose Serious Risks

The Ministry of Health has issued an urgent warning to the public, advising against the consumption of Njoy and Joicy brand soft drinks. This advisory follows an inspection in the city of Tira, which uncovered a beverage production facility operating without a license and under conditions that pose a significant risk to public health.

During a joint operation conducted by inspectors from the Central District Food Service and the Israel Police, investigators discovered extremely poor production and sanitary standards at the plant. Following these findings, the Ministry of Health issued immediate seizure orders for all merchandise found on-site, and the plant owner has been summoned for an urgent hearing to address further enforcement actions.

The warning applies to a variety of Njoy brand drinks, including grape, apple, mango, lemon-mint, grapefruit, orange, and strawberry-banana flavors. According to the official announcement, these products were manufactured by MG and marketed by Daas Group. Additionally, the ministry has warned against consuming the grape-flavored drink under the Joicy brand, which is manufactured and packaged by Dass Group.

The Ministry of Health emphasized that the public is urged to avoid these products due to serious concerns regarding consumer safety. The Food Service has stated that it will continue its rigorous inspection and enforcement efforts against the production and marketing of any food and beverage items that fail to comply with legal and regulatory standards.
