Air Canada has announced its return to the Israeli market, scheduling the resumption of direct flights between Tel Aviv and Montreal starting in May 2027. The long-awaited air link will operate three times a week, utilizing Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft to connect passengers directly between Israel and Canada.

The flights will be operated using modern Dreamliner aircraft configured with three distinct service classes. These include 30 seats in Air Canada Signature Class featuring fully flat beds and direct aisle access, 21 seats in Premium Economy, and 247 seats in Economy class, ensuring an enhanced travel experience on the long-haul route.

The restoration of the Tel Aviv route is part of a broader global network expansion by Air Canada, which includes launching or resuming 11 long-haul routes starting in late 2026 and through the summer of 2027. The airline currently operates 40 Boeing 787 aircraft and expects delivery of new units by late 2026 to support its expanded operations.

For Israeli travelers, the announcement provides a reliable direct connection to a key North American destination. Although travelers must wait until 2027, the decision underscores the carrier's long-term commitment to maintaining service on the Israeli route.
