AGTD Merges Megam Food in Strategic Expansion of Its Food Division
AGTD has announced the merger of Megam Food, a specialized institutional food distributor with 25 million shekels in annual revenue, expanding its logistics and retail reach.

AGTD, one of Israel's leading import and marketing companies, has announced the merger of Megam Food into its operations. Megam Food specializes in the import, marketing, and distribution of cheeses, fish, butter, and chilled food products, primarily serving the institutional market with an annual turnover of approximately 25 million shekels.
Expanding Logistics and Distribution Networks
As part of the transaction, AGTD will integrate Megam Food's operations into its existing sales, distribution, and logistics systems. To accommodate this integration, the company is expanding its logistics center, increasing its distribution fleet, and investing heavily in operational infrastructure.
The integration is expected to allow AGTD to broaden its range of food products offered to customers and deepen its footprint in the institutional market. Simultaneously, the company intends to expand the marketing of Megam Food's products into the retail market, utilizing AGTD's extensive sales networks and commercial reach.
Strategic Growth and Market Synergy
Megam Food has historically focused on the professional and institutional sector, accumulating deep expertise in dairy, cheeses, fish, and chilled foods, alongside a specialization in goods requiring a controlled supply chain. AGTD stated that it intends to preserve Megam Food's professional knowledge and client relationships while merging them with AGTD's infrastructure.
"The integration of Megam Food is another step in AGTD's growth strategy and the expansion of our food division," management stated. "Combining Megam Food's expertise with AGTD's distribution capabilities will enable us to expand our solution portfolio for customers and develop retail activity."
Tzahi Lipka, founder and partner at Megam Food, added: "The connection with AGTD will allow us to continue developing our operations, expand our product offerings, and increase market coverage while maintaining our high standard of service and personal support."
