Ex-Hostage Agam Berger Condemns Yair Golan for Using Shelter Footage
Former Gaza hostage Agam Berger has slammed The Democrats leader Yair Golan for using her shelter footage in an election video, demanding its removal.

Former Gaza hostage Agam Berger has publicly objected to the unauthorized use of her footage in an election campaign video released by The Democrats leader Yair Golan. Berger demanded that Golan refrain from utilizing any video clips showing her inside a roadside shelter during the October 7 attacks.
Responding directly on Golan's official Instagram account, Berger wrote, "And do not use videos in which I appear in the shelter." In a subsequent comment addressing the central theme of the video, she added, "The truth is that we are not here by the power of might, but by the power of righteousness and the merit of our ancestors."
The controversial campaign video features Golan in a dark room surrounded by screens displaying footage from the October 7 onslaught and the ongoing war. The clip blends archival imagery with political messages and sharp criticism of the country's leadership, touching upon responsibility for the events that have shaken Israel in recent years.
Berger served as an observation soldier at the Nahal Oz military post when Hamas terrorists raided the base on October 7, 2023. She was abducted to the Gaza Strip and held captive for 482 days, until her release on January 30, 2025, as part of a hostage agreement.
