Channel 12 journalist Adva Dadon warned the public that scammers created a fake Facebook group using her name to lure users into fraudulent financial advice schemes.
Channel 12 investigative journalist and news anchor Adva Dadon warned her social media followers that impostors have created a fake Facebook group using her name without authorization.
According to messages sent to users, the fraudulent group invited people to join a free WhatsApp club offering professional advice on financial matters, retirement planning, and politics, prompting recipients to reply with 'yes'.
Dadon published screenshots of the scam and urged the public to stay vigilant. "Please note that these are impostors. Beware, do not join any group, do not hand over personal details, and of course, do not click on any links sent to you. I would appreciate it if you report the Facebook profile and share this warning," she wrote.
The fake profile claimed to be the official home page of Dadon's investigative desk and her program 'The Con Artists' on Channel 12. She asked her followers to report the page immediately.
In July, Dadon married actor Yadin Gelman, whom she met in 2023. The couple got engaged in early 2024, and their first child was born in August of that year. Meanwhile, Dadon recently received public support from Rami Davidian, a Nova festival rescue hero, who praised her loyalty during difficult times while speaking on a podcast.
