Creating a full soundtrack in one place
Adobe is now releasing three AI-powered sound tools on the Firefly platform, available for both desktop and mobile. The primary tool, Generate Music, allows users to create original, commercially licensed tracks tailored to the length and mood of their video. The system analyzes the footage, offers text prompts for editing, and allows control over tempo, energy, and duration, providing four distinct options to choose from.
Alongside music, Adobe is launching voiceover and effects tools. The Generate Speech tool converts text into natural-sounding voiceovers using either an Adobe model or ElevenLabs, with options for pronunciation tags and emotional expression. Furthermore, the Generate Sound Effects tool creates personalized sound effects based on text descriptions or by using a user's voice recording as a reference to match the video's energy.
Integration of advanced models
Adobe has also announced the integration of Google's Gemini Omni Flash model into Firefly. This allows users to utilize video, audio, and image inputs alongside text to edit and refine videos through an ongoing dialogue with the AI. This model joins a growing list of external integrations, including Runway Aleph 2.0, Kling 2.0, OpenAI, and Luma AI.
The most significant update for creators is that these tools do not require separate subscriptions to produce commercially safe materials. Users can now manage their entire sound and video production workflow under one roof, eliminating the need to switch between services or fear content removal.
