Adi Zarifi embarrassed on live broadcast on Channel 12: "A serious news anchor"
The news flash turned into an amusing moment in the Keshet 12 studio after Niv Raskin surprised and embarrassed Adi Zarifi with a gesture in honor of Moomin Day, which revealed her affection for the series: "I just want to congratulate you, in honor of this important day" - this is how Zarifi responded.

"Morning News with Niv Raskin" is one of the most well-known current affairs programs in Israel, broadcast from Sunday to Thursday in the early morning hours. Between segments, the program sometimes switches to news flashes presented by Channel 12 reporter Adi Zarifi.
The dynamic between Raskin and Zarifi has often provided viewers with lighthearted and surprising moments. Another such instance made the studio audience laugh when Raskin decided to surprise Zarifi in honor of International Moomin Day, knowing she is a big fan of the show.
After Zarifi finished the hourly news flash, Raskin took the opportunity to congratulate her:
"I just want to congratulate you, in honor of this important day."
Those in the studio burst into laughter, as it was clear they were aware of the surprise the host had prepared. A surprised Zarifi replied: "First of all, thank you very much, I appreciate it, but what is happening today?"
Raskin tried to guide her toward the reason for his congratulations: "What event happening today excites you? Here, let me show you a reminder."
At that moment, a clip from the animated series "The Moomins" began to play on the screen, while Raskin continued to tease the stunned Zarifi: "What are we seeing here?"
Zarifi quickly understood where things were heading and replied with a smile: "I don't know how to react to this. Are you referring to my admiration and that of my friends here at Channel 12 for Moominvalley?"
Raskin replied: "Yes, I even saw in your story that you are promoting this day," and took the opportunity to tease her: "That's why I wondered how much you are waiting for this day, as a serious news anchor."
Zarifi explained her affection for the series: "I will explain simply where the interest comes from. It might sound like a joke, but there were once innocent days and great fun, and we grew up with these things. To this day we remember them because we have nowhere to run, and so we escape into animation. That is my explanation."
Towards the end of the conversation, Zarifi revealed her favorite character, providing the answer Raskin was likely waiting for: "Little My is my favorite character."
