Truck overturns on Highway 1: woman extracted in serious condition

A truck overturned today, Monday, at the entrance to the Paz gas station near the Sha'ar HaGai interchange on Highway 1 towards Tel Aviv, striking four vehicles. A report of the accident was received at the 102 dispatch center of the Jerusalem District, and four firefighting and rescue teams from the Beit Shemesh area were dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, rescue teams began operations to extract a woman trapped inside one of the vehicles. Following her extraction, the victim was transferred for medical treatment in serious condition.

United Hatzalah volunteers provided initial medical assistance to another victim in moderate condition, who suffered a severe limb injury, as well as to two other individuals with light injuries. Mordechai David Goldman, a United Hatzalah medic who was the first to arrive at the scene, stated: "We provided initial medical assistance at the scene to a victim in moderate condition who suffered a severe limb injury." Traffic congestion is currently reported in the area, and the gas station remains inactive until the evacuation of the truck and damaged vehicles is complete.
