Fatal Accident in the Negev: One Dead, Two Injured
A man in his 50s was killed in a collision between a car and a truck on Highway 80 in the Negev. Two other men sustained serious and moderate injuries respectively.

A man in his 50s was killed this evening, Tuesday, in a collision between a car and a truck on Highway 80, near the Tel Arad junction in the Negev. In the same accident, a man in his 30s sustained serious multi-system injuries, and a man in his 40s suffered moderate abdominal and limb injuries.
Police have opened an investigation into the circumstances of the accident and blocked the road to traffic in both directions. The two injured men were evacuated for medical treatment to Soroka Hospital in Beersheba.
MADA paramedic Muhammad Abu Matir, senior medic Saar Shahori, and medic Anwar Abu Farid reported:
"There was a lot of commotion at the scene and a vehicle with significant body damage. We saw a trapped man, unconscious, without a pulse and without breathing, with very severe injuries to his body. During the rescue operations, we performed medical checks, but to our great regret, we had no choice but to pronounce his death. At the same time, we provided life-saving medical treatment to two injured people and evacuated them to the hospital."
Earlier today, two women were killed in an accident involving three buses on David Remez Street in Ashkelon. Medical teams pronounced the death of a 60-year-old woman at the scene, and two other injured women were evacuated to Barzilai Hospital, where one of them later passed away. The third woman remains hospitalized in moderate condition.
