Shot to death upon arriving at work: 4 suspects arrested in Shfaram murder case
Police have established an evidentiary basis against four suspects involved in the murder of Ali Sawaed, who was shot to death upon arriving at his workplace at a bus terminal in Shfaram. After more than 40 days of investigation, the Lahav 433 serious crimes unit filed a prosecutor's statement and a request to detain the suspects until the end of proceedings.
The police announced today that they have established an evidentiary basis against four suspects involved in the murder of Ali Sawaed, who was shot to death on July 1 upon arriving at his workplace at a bus terminal in Shfaram, against the backdrop of the conflict between the Sawaed-Khalidi criminal organizations. After more than 40 days of investigation, four suspects were arrested: three brothers, residents of Shfaram, including a 17-year-old minor, and a resident of Nazareth. Today, the Lahav 433 serious crimes unit filed a prosecutor's statement and a request to detain them until the end of proceedings.
In the official statement from the police spokesperson, it was noted:
"As part of a bloody conflict between the Sawaed-Khalidi criminal organizations, which has claimed dozens of victims, Ali Sawaed was murdered in Shfaram on July 1, 2026, when he arrived at his work at a bus terminal in the morning hours."
The investigation was conducted by the Lahav 433 serious crimes unit in cooperation with the Northern District. Following a complex investigation, officers established an evidentiary basis against the suspects, who are in their 20s and one 17-year-old. The case is being accompanied by the Hof District Prosecutor's Office.
